Working closely with and reporting to the Payroll Manager, this role provides advanced payroll expertise, assists with complex payroll issues, and supports system maintenance and process improvements.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Working closely with and reporting to the Payroll Manager, this role provides advanced payroll expertise, assists with complex payroll issues, and supports system maintenance and process improvements.
DUTIES
- Perform end-to-end payroll processing, including data entry, validation, and reconciliation.
- Ensure accuracy of time and attendance records, allowances, deductions, and leave entitlements.
- Assist in resolving payroll discrepancies and provide guidance on complex payroll matters.
- Ensure payroll activities comply with relevant legislation, tax requirements, and superannuation obligations.
- Prepare and assist with statutory reporting including Single Touch Payroll (STP) and payroll tax.
- Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and responses.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll legislation and apply them to processes.
- Assist with the maintenance and optimization of payroll systems (SAP ECP, UKG).
- 3+ Years experience processing payroll in a medium to large organisation
- Proven, hands on payroll operator
- Excellent communication, business partnering, and attention to detail
- Exposure to time & attendance systems ideally
- SAP Payroll experience is preferred
