The [axr] CFO Incubator aims to create the CFOs of the future. Through access to leading CFOs and a supportive alumni community, the program helps ambitious finance leaders make better career decisions and build momentum toward the CFO seat.

What is [axr]'s

CFO Incubator Program?

The CFO Incubator is a specialised career development program designed for ambitious Accounting and Finance professionals who want to accelerate their path to senior leadership. It brings together a curated cohort of high-potential future leaders, creating a supportive community grounded in shared ambition, accountability and real-world learning.


Since launch, the CFO Incubator has supported 350+ participants across 17 programs, with many alumni progressing into CFO roles and other executive positions within leading organisations.


The program is intentionally built for long-term support. Alumni are encouraged to remain active in the CFO Incubator community, continuing to learn, connect and contribute. Many also introduce new talent into the program, helping the next generation of aspiring CFOs step into their potential.

[ How it works ]

The [axr] CFO Incubator gives participants direct access to leading CFOs through a series of intimate, high-value breakfast sessions. Each session is designed to provide clarity, perspective and practical career guidance for future accounting and finance leaders.

[ CFO selection ]

CFOs are carefully selected from a broad range of industries to share diverse perspectives on the journey to CFO and beyond. Each CFO brings their own experience - from executive challenges to career-defining decisions - offering participants rare insight into the realities of senior leadership.

[ Finance leaders invited ]

Participation is by invitation only. Aspiring CFOs and finance professionals exploring future leadership pathways are chosen for the program based on their career ambition and potential. This ensures a highly engaged peer group and meaningful discussion throughout the series.

[ Networking Series Breakfasts ]

The program runs as a networking breakfast series, delivered in two intakes per year (Summer & Winter). Each intake includes three breakfast sessions, creating a six-session annual series.


Sessions follow a Q&A-style format to encourage active participation and open, honest discussion. CFOs share lessons on career progression, leadership, decision-making and overcoming challenges, while participants can explore their own questions and career considerations.
