Senior Manager – Group Reporting — Sydney

We have been exclusively engaged to appoint a high-calibre Senior Manager – Group Reporting for a leading, complex ASX-listed organization. This is a highly visible, high-impact role sitting at the heart of a large finance community, offering unparalleled exposure and scope for a professional looking to shape the reporting direction of a major group.

The Role

This is not a traditional "business-as-usual" reporting position. As the 2IC to the General Manager of Finance, you will own the Group’s consolidation and reporting processes while helping to direct the narrative communicated to the market.

The organization is currently focused on enhancing its reporting capability through automation and system optimization, including the migration of OneStream to a cloud-based environment. You will oversee a team of three, fostering a culture of curiosity and continuous improvement while partnering with senior stakeholders across divisional finance, legal, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly financial close process, acting as the primary link between divisional finance and the Group.
• Oversee the Group’s consolidation within OneStream, ensuring it is completed in accordance with Group standards and timetables.
• Drive ASX reporting deliverables for the half-year and annual reporting cycles.
• Craft insightful commentary and analysis for executive management and the Board.
• Support Investor Relations by assisting with content direction for reporting cycles and responding to analyst inquiries.
• Drive continuous improvement and transformation, specifically focusing on the automation of financial reporting and the migration of OneStream to the cloud.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of three, supporting their career growth and technical development.

About You

• CA/CPA qualified with a degree in a relevant field.
• 10+ years of experience gathered in a commercial environment or professional practice, with deep exposure to complex multi-level consolidations.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge (AIFRS) and a proven track record with ASX disclosure requirements.
• Proficiency in OneStream reporting systems is highly advantageous.
• Experience in a contracting business or a complex, fast-paced multi-entity environment.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and grow a high-performing team.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of influencing outcomes and building partnerships with senior executives.
