6 months FTC FP&A and Commercial Analyst. build and maintain budget and forecast models

6 month fixed term contract (potential to become permanent)
Sydney CBD, hybrid
$110,000 - $130,000k base plus super

About the role
We are partnering with a financial services technology business to hire a Senior Finance Analyst to help build a high performing, commercially focused FP&A function. This role is hands on and modelling heavy, shifting finance from producing numbers to delivering decision grade insights. You will own core planning models, produce board and management packs, and partner with senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities
- Own and improve forecast models across P&L, cashflow and recurring revenue metrics
- Support driver based budgeting, rolling forecasts, and scenario analysis
- Deliver monthly board and management packs with clear commentary and insights
- Provide analysis across pipeline, cloud costs, people costs, margin and profitability
- Support commercial deal review, client or product profitability, and investment cases
- Drive process improvements across models, reporting and forecasting cadence

What you will bring
- CA or CPA qualified
- Advanced Excel skills, including power query and power pivot
- Strong financial modelling and forecasting experience
- Clear communicator, structured, proactive, comfortable with ambiguity
- Experience in SaaS, technology, or recurring revenue businesses is beneficial
- Power BI or similar tools is a plus
