About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, the Senior Financial Accountant will own month-end close, consolidation and reconciliation review as well as preparation pf the statutory, technical and treasury accounting positions that sit behind group reporting. This is an exceptional role for those who want to gain further exposure to complex areas within an investment business.

About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, the Senior Financial Accountant will own month-end close, consolidation and reconciliation review as well as preparation pf the statutory, technical and treasury accounting positions that sit behind group reporting. This is an exceptional role for those who want to gain further exposure to complex areas within an investment business.
Key Responsibilities
- GL/Month-End: Own the month-end close, consolidation and reconciliation review framework
- Statutory Reporting: Prepare annual statutory financial statements and technical position papers in line with AASB, monitoring new and emerging standards
- Management Reporting: Prepare monthly and quarterly group reporting, and build/maintain a BI reporting layer replacing manual processes
- Treasury: Support cash flow forecasting, debt accounting, and covenant and lender reporting
- Tax: Prepare income tax effect accounting, deferred tax and broader tax compliance support
- ESG/Sustainability: Contribute to non-financial and sustainability-related reporting obligations
- Systems: Act as system administrator for the finance ERP, leading upgrades.
- People: Support a junior team member as first reviewer, building relationships across internal and external stakeholder
- CA or CPA qualified; Big 4 or mid-tier audit background followed by minimum 2+ years' commercial experience.
- Strong, current AASB knowledge with the ability to write defensible technical position papers
- Consolidation experience across complex group structures
- Hands-on ERP experience (e.g. Oracle, NetSuite, SAP)
- Practical experience with Power BI/Power Query and structured data modelling
- Advanced Excel skills
