We are partnering with a leading real assets organisation to recruit a Senior Accountant for a 12 month maternity leave cover within a high performing property finance team. This is a commercially focused role supporting a portfolio of office assets, with a strong emphasis on forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and stakeholder partnering.
This is not a pure technical accounting role. The position is weighted heavily towards forecasting and business partnering, with underlying property accounting supported by an external provider. It will suit an agile and resourceful finance professional who can connect the dots, work closely with stakeholders, and provide strong commercial support across the portfolio.

Responsibilities
- Manage the end to end financial management of an assigned portfolio, including budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, reporting, and compliance
- Partner closely with asset managers, property managers, finance leaders, and other key stakeholders to provide insights and decision support
- Deliver monthly variance analysis and commentary, identifying risks, opportunities, and key performance drivers
- Support leasing, capital expenditure, and operational decisions through commercial analysis and recommendations
- Oversee outsourced service providers to ensure accurate and timely financial outputs
- Contribute to projects, transactions, and strategic initiatives across the office portfolio
- Maintain strong controls, governance, and documentation to support compliance and audit readiness
- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities across reporting and finance workflows
- CA or CPA qualified, or working towards qualification
- Experience in financial or management accounting with a strong commercial focus
- Strong capability in forecasting, budgeting, analysis, and business partnering
- Advanced Excel skills and solid financial modelling capability
- Confident stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships and influence outcomes
- Agile, proactive, and able to work autonomously in a dynamic environment
- Experience in property, real assets, or another commercial industry will be well regarded
- Exposure to Yardi and TM1 will be advantageous
- Must have valid Australian working rights for the full 12 month contract.
