Lead payroll operations in a growing national organisation, driving accuracy, efficiency, and system improvements

ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a motivated Payroll team lead or newly promoted Payroll Manager to take ownership of the payroll function and lead delivery across a complex workforce.

You’ll play a key role in payroll transformation, system improvements, and operational excellence, while partnering closely with Finance, HR, and Operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• End-to-end payroll across the full employee lifecycle
• Managing EBAs, Awards, and complex pay conditions
• Ensuring compliance across PAYG, payroll tax, super, and Fair Work
• Payroll accounting – leave provisions, journals, reconciliations
• Leading payroll queries and internal service delivery
• Driving process improvements and automation initiatives
• Supporting Time & Attendance system implementation
• Leading and mentoring a Senior Payroll Officer

• Proven experience in end-to-end payroll (complex / multi-site)
• Strong knowledge of EBAs, Awards, and payroll legislation
• Experience with payroll accounting and reconciliations
• Exposure to system improvements or payroll transformation
• High attention to detail and strong stakeholder engagement skills
