Make your mark by scaling two crucial channels for a fast-growing Aussie pet food business
Want to own two of the most interesting and fastest-growing channels in pet food - with the scale, resources and brand portfolio to actually win?
Many NBM roles are defined by one major retailer and a well-worn playbook.
This one is different.
The business is one of Australia's leading pet food manufacturers, with a portfolio of trusted brands and an ambitious commercial agenda. They're growing - across traditional retail and beyond - and they're looking for a commercially sharp NBM to take ownership of two channels that sit at the centre of that growth: E-Commerce and Mass retail.
This is a genuine dual-channel remit. On one side, you're building and executing a pureplay e-commerce strategy - account management, content optimisation, promotional ROI, logistics collaboration.
On the other, you're running major mass retail partnerships, developing joint business plans, managing range and promotional execution, and growing penetration in channels where most pet food brands are still finding their feet.
You'll report into the Sales Director and sit within a high-calibre commercial team. The role is Sydney based, and you'll have the internal access - cross-functional alignment, exec visibility, commercial finance partnership - to actually execute.
After 12 months in the role, you should be able to point to a measurable step-change in both channels - new revenue, stronger relationships, a smarter promotional model, and a clear trajectory.

What you need
- Proven e-commerce or digital commerce experience in an FMCG or adjacent
- environment - you understand how pureplay accounts work, what drives online conversion, and how to build a credible channel strategy from the ground up.
- Experience managing major retail customers - whether that's Costco, Bunnings, or comparable mass or non-grocery accounts. You know how to develop joint business plans, manage the relationship, and hold your ground commercially.
- 5-7 years in commercial roles within FMCG, retail or adjacent industries - you're operating at NBM level with confidence, not growing into it.
- Strong analytical capability - comfortable with data, BI platforms, promotional ROI analysis, and pricing strategy. You make decisions with evidence, not instinct alone.
- The ability to influence internally and externally - you work well with cross-functional teams, manage competing priorities without losing momentum, and bring people along with you.
