This is a rare opportunity to join the Australian subsidiary of a globally renowned, family-owned premium food brand — the number one in its category across Europe, with operations spanning 96 countries. In Australia, the business has grown rapidly to become a top-tier FMCG player, turning over close to $100 million in retail sales value annually, and has been recognised as a supplier of the year by Australia's leading grocery retailer.
It's a small, high-performing team with real commercial ambition — and that means every person in it matters.
The Role
The National Account Executive sits at the operational heart of the commercial team. You will be the person who makes sure promotional programmes land correctly, forecasts are accurate, and deadlines are met — across Woolworths, Coles, Metcash and key independents.
When this role is done well, the Senior National Account Managers can focus entirely on growing the business.
Key areas of responsibility include:- Promotional Management — End-to-end ownership of promotional programmes across major grocery retailers. Submitting plans, managing retailer portals (including Woolworths Partner Hub and Coles PAFs), tracking confirmations, and ensuring flawless execution within tight deadlines.
- Commercial Analysis & Forecasting — Day-to-day sales analysis and performance reporting, supporting S&OP and forecasting cycles in close collaboration with the category team. Your accuracy with data will directly shape the team's ability to plan and execute with confidence.
- Claims & Trade Spend Management — Managing claims reconciliation across major retail customers and liaising with the international back-office team to ensure trade investment is accurately tracked and processed.
- Sales Support — Supporting range reviews, new line set-up, customer presentation development, and ad hoc administrative tasks across grocery, foodservice and independent channels.
You don't need to have done this exact role before — but you do need to bring the right mindset: detail-oriented, analytically driven, proactive, and hungry to learn.
You might currently be working in a field sales or key account role within FMCG, or in an analytical capacity at a data agency. What matters most is your attitude and your application.
You will bring:
- Experience in a sales, account management or analytical role within FMCG or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and genuine pride in the accuracy of your work
- Analytical capability, and a desire to continue developing in this area
- The ability to manage multiple competing priorities without dropping the ball
- Confidence communicating with senior stakeholders — knowing when to ask, when to escalate, and how to do both well
- A team-first attitude and the energy to thrive in a small, fast-moving environment
- Familiarity with IRI, Nielsen or Quantium data tools is advantageous but not essential
