About the Role:

The Head of Finance – ANZ is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping the financial strategy, governance, and commercial decision-making of the business. Leading the Finance function across Australia and New Zealand, this role drives financial performance, ensures high-quality reporting, and delivers actionable insights aligned to business objectives.

You will serve as a strategic partner to the Managing Director and ANZ Leadership Team, influencing key decisions, enabling growth, and guiding the organisation through an ongoing finance transformation agenda including systems integration, technology uplift, and process optimisation.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Strategy & Leadership Lead the ANZ Finance function, setting strategic direction and aligning finance priorities with overall business objectives.

Business Partnering - Provide accurate, timely, and insight-driven financial analysis to guide operational and commercial initiatives, act as a trusted advisor to Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain to optimise performance and profitability.

Governance, Risk & Compliance - Ensure financial compliance, statutory reporting accuracy, and strong internal controls across ANZ.

Finance Transformation & Systems - Own the finance transformation roadmap, including process redesign, digital enablement, and systems integration.

Team Leadership & Capability Development - Lead, coach, and develop a small but high-performing finance team.

Key Success Factors:

  • Demonstrated ability to influence, challenge, and partner effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience building and leading E2E finance functions - Financial Control, FP&A and Commercial Finance at a group or divisional level.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with proven experience distilling complex data into actionable business insights.
  • Ability to lead through transformation, with a track record in driving system and process improvement.
  • High integrity, governance mindset, and commitment to compliance and accuracy.
  • Proactive leadership style with the capability to inspire, motivate, and develop teams.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience working in consumer goods, building products, manufacturing, or distribution sectors (advantageous).
