Unlock your sales leadership potential with an established global SaaS business going after big growth in Australia
If you aspire to sales leadership - love the idea of growing with a business over the long term - this one could be for you.
This role starts as a sole contributor and, for the right person, will become a national or even regional leadership role as they build a team under them.
You’ll start out being hands-on – becoming an expert in your niche, building your network, winning new business.
And from there – you’ll build.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll get to make your mark from day one - while the business already has good systems in place, it needs sales discipline and rigour, and more proactive new business generation.
You’ll be mapping the market, qualifying and prioritising potential new customers, planning and executing your sales rhythm, and ultimately scaling the business rapidly through new business acquisition.
But you won’t be alone. You’ll work alongside a highly capable Managing Director who’s come from industry into SaaS, a strong local team and colleagues in the UK who have experience, tools and ideas to share.
About the business
The company is a private equity backed, family business, headquartered overseas and growing quickly in Australia.
It provides cloud-based solutions to a niche market, in a field with few competitors and huge opportunity to acquire new logos.
They’ve got a great reputation within the industry they service, built on credibility, high service levels and a consultative sales process which seeks to add real value through solving problems for their clients.
What you’ll need
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to bring a track record of winning new business in SaaS through a consultative sales process.
You’ll have done this in a structured, methodical way, taking a multi-channel approach to outreach, and by engaging senior decision makers as well as users within the businesses you’ve sold to.
Ideally, you’ll have some knowledge or experience within the financial sector, but this isn’t necessary.
Either way, you’ll have very strong communication skills – able to influence internally and externally with maturity, backed by data and commercials.
Important for you to know
The business is headquartered in Brisbane, but this role is based in Sydney because that's where most of your clients will be.
So this is a remote role, with occasional travel to Brisbane required.
