Group Financial Controller opportunity with a large, Private Equity backed Australian manufacturing and distribution business.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Lead and develop the finance function to deliver accurate and consistent outcomes with rigour and detail. This role is considered part of the SLT and will have a true seat at the table when it comes to contributing to strategic outcomes.

DUTIES
- Own the integrity and timeliness of the company’s financial and statutory reporting
- Oversee and develop monthly management accounts
- Contribute to board reporting pack
- Prepare and present financial reporting to relevant stakeholders
- Ensure the close process is efficient and reliable
- Manage the cash position of the business, including short-term cash forecasting - specifically related to inventory
- Point of contact for key consultants - Tax and Audit
- Own the finance systems environment, including the general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, expense management, and related integrations
- Lead, develop, and mentor the finance team
- Prior exposure to manufacturing and distribution business is essential
- Solid understanding of inventory accounting and cash flow management is also key
- Team leadership experience
- CA or CPA qualification
- Strong communication and an eye for detail
- Self starter and motivated
