  • Immediate start, 6-month contract
  • $180,000 inclusive of Super on offer
  • Group Finance - Corporate ASX
  • Group Finance Manager – Corporate ASX | High Visibility, Business Impact

This is not your standard month-end reporting role.

This is an opportunity to sit at the centre of a large, complex business where financial control, process improvement and stakeholder influence genuinely matter.

You won’t just be producing numbers — you’ll be helping shape how the business operates, strengthening financial discipline and driving better outcomes across the organisation.

If you’re someone who enjoys solving problems, improving processes and influencing beyond finance, keep reading.

    The Opportunity

You’ll take ownership across financial reporting, controls and process optimisation within a highly visible finance function. This is a 6-month contract in a large ASX business. Whilst there's no guarantee of a permanent role or extension, there's always ample opportunity for strong performers.

    For this role think:
    • Complex reporting environments
    • Strong focus on controls and balance sheet integrity
    • Exposure across multiple business units and stakeholders
    • Opportunities to drive process improvements and automation
    • Leadership and capability building across teams
This is a role where you're not just keeping the machine running — you're improving how it works.

    What You'll Be Doing
    • Oversee and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring timely completion and resolution of reconciling items
    • Maintain strong control over GL accounts and sub-ledgers, ensuring appropriate use and timely clearing of balances
    • Support the integrity of the general ledger and close processes, including adherence to system and process controls
    • Identify, investigate and resolve financial anomalies, risks and control gaps
    • Drive improvements in reconciliation processes, including alignment to best practice and standardisation initiatives
    • Support execution of month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards
    • Maintain and enhance documented processes, internal controls and accounting policies
    • Develop a strong understanding of end-to-end processes impacting financial results, enabling effective issue resolution
    • Support audit and tax deliverables, including audit queries, reconciliations and supporting documentation
    • Assist in oversight of tax-related accounting outputs (e.g. GST, corporate tax inputs) in collaboration with Group Tax
    What We're Looking For
    • CA / CPA qualified
    • ASX experience ideal
    • Strong financial accounting / financial control experience
    • Background operating within large or complex environments
    • Strong understanding of IFRS and reporting principles
    • Someone who challenges processes and looks for better ways of working
    • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
    Why This Role Stands Out
    • High visibility – work across multiple stakeholders and business functions
    • Influence – opportunity to drive change rather than just maintain BAU
    • Leadership exposure – develop people and uplift capability
    • Continuous improvement focus – automation, optimisation and future-state thinking
    • Strong long-term career growth potential
