ASX Top 200 technology group seeks a Financial Controller to lead reporting, consolidation, tax governance and executive partnership.

About the Role

We’re partnering with an ASX Top 200 listed technology organisation to appoint a Financial Controller into a high‑impact finance leadership role. Reporting directly to the CFO, this position has ownership of group statutory reporting, consolidation, and tax governance across a complex, multi‑entity structure.

This opportunity will suit a technically strong finance professional who enjoys working in a regulated, listed environment and wants meaningful exposure to executive leadership and Board‑level engagement.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Leading group consolidation and statutory reporting for a listed entity with international operations
• Preparing half‑year and full‑year financial statements in line with Australian Accounting Standards and ASX requirements
• Assessing and implementing new accounting standards and regulatory changes
• Owning end‑to‑end tax governance, including income tax, GST, FBT, and tax effect accounting
• Leading innovation‑related tax programs and incentives, including governance and substantiation
• Coordinating tax compliance activities across multiple jurisdictions
• Managing external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory stakeholders
• Overseeing statutory audits and reviews, ensuring deadlines and governance expectations are met.
• Strengthening financial and tax control environments appropriate for a listed technology organisation
• Contributing to Board and Audit & Risk Committee reporting with clear, decision‑useful insights
• Acting as a trusted technical advisor to the CFO and executive leadership team

• CA / CPA qualified, with a degree in Accounting or related discipline
• Strong background in statutory reporting and/or taxation within a listed or complex corporate environment, or a first move from Business Services / Tax
• Experience across consolidation, technical accounting, and tax governance
• Comfortable engaging with executives, Boards, auditors, and external advisors
• Detail‑oriented, commercially minded, and confident operating in a highly regulated setting
