Our client is looking for a hands on Financial Accountant to take ownership of audit and tax deliverables through a complex reporting period, with a secondary focus on technical accounting and finance process improvement.

Responsibilities
- Support the integration of newly acquired entities into group reporting, including opening balance sheet review and cleanup
- Assist with purchase price allocation and the accounting treatment of acquisitions as they occur
- Support the year end statutory audit process, liaising with external auditors and preparing supporting schedules
- Assist with tax return support, workpapers and reconciliations across BAS, FBT and income tax
- Apply AASB standards to technical accounting positions across leases, provisions and equity related transactions
- Contribute to process improvement as the finance function adapts existing templates and models to new acquisitions
Requirements
- CA or CPA qualified, or in the final stages
- Genuine exposure to acquisition or M&A accounting, whether from a due diligence, integration, or opening balance sheet perspective
- Comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy in a fast changing, less structured environment
- Exposure to audit and tax processes highly regarded, though not the primary requirement
- Experience in a multi entity or group structure environment highly regarded
- Strong written communication, able to summarise technical positions clearly for non technical stakeholders
- Available at short notice
