Responsibilities
- Perform accurate and timely month end close processes
- Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare and lodge monthly BAS statements
- Manage the annual FBT return process
- Produce weekly and monthly management reports
- Support preparation of the monthly board report
- Provide insight on revenue and cost trends across the business
- Contribute to annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
- Manage company credit cards through the expense management system
- Use AI tools such as Claude, Copilot, or ChatGPT to automate reconciliations, first draft reporting, and stakeholder correspondence, reviewing all output before it is used
- CA or CPA qualification is preferred, though strong candidates without it will still be considered
- 3 to 5 years in a financial or management accounting role
- Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, INDEX MATCH, and pivot tables
- Experience with Power BI, SQL, or Power Query is well regarded
- Practical experience using AI tools in a finance context is well regarded
- Strong written communication skills, able to explain the story behind the numbers clearly
- Available to work on site 5 days a week at Macquarie Park
