I’m partnering with a high‑growth, project‑based organisation to appoint an experienced Contract Finance Manager to step in and provide senior cover during a short‑term leadership absence.

This is a hands‑on, standalone Finance Manager role suited to someone who enjoys autonomy, pace, and responsibility. You’ll be trusted to come in, assess quickly, and keep everything running smoothly in a business that’s scaling fast and juggling multiple projects.

The Opportunity
You’ll take full ownership of the finance function, working closely with an accessible CFO and leadership team. The environment is collaborative, diverse, and decisive — minimal bureaucracy, quick decisions, and senior stakeholders who are genuinely engaged.

This relatively small business is across engineering, project management, and development, with plans to grow over the next 12 months. This is very much a do‑it‑yourself Finance Manager role with no direct reports, it's all you.

Key Responsibilities

• End‑to‑end Finance Manager duties
• Month‑end close, journals, reconciliations
• BAS, payroll tax, and payroll oversight
• Project accounting, WIP tracking, and cost control
• Cashflow management and operational finance
• Reporting, and day‑to‑day finance activities
• Partnering with project managers and senior stakeholders

• $150k + Super (pro‑rata)
• Immediate or short‑notice start
• Hybrid working (3–4 days in office, 1–2 WFH)
• Office near Mascot train station
