Our client is a respected organisation in the industrial products sector, operating across multiple sites with significant heavy assets. With a strong focus on operational efficiency and long-term growth, they are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to drive financial governance and optimise business performance.

Role

 Reporting directly to the CFO, you will: 

    • Monthly and Quarterly Reporting: Deliver timely and accurate financial reports to the Head Office, ensuring group requirements are met.
    • Balance Sheet Management: Oversee provisions, general ledger reconciliations, and ensure the integrity of financial records.
    • Bank and Cash Management: Manage treasury operations, cash flow forecasting, and banking administration for a capital-intensive environment.
    • Audits: Coordinate and support both internal and external audit processes, ensuring compliance and robust controls.
    • Fixed Assets: Manage the fixed asset register, including depreciation schedules and asset lifecycle management.
    • Leases: Oversee lease accounting in line with AASB 16 and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
    • Value in Use Modelling & Long-Term Planning: Prepare and review value in use models and contribute to the five-year strategic financial plan.
    • Payroll: Oversee payroll operations, ensuring accuracy in the salaries and wages line and compliance with all obligations.
    • Taxation: Manage all tax-related matters, including BAS, FBT, and other statutory requirements.
Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:
  • CA/CPA qualification
  • Ideally proven experience in heavy assets and industrial sectors such as manufacturing, engineering, infrastructure or similar
  • Strong technical knowledge and ability to deliver accurate, high-standard outputs
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders
  • Experience in environments with complex asset management and high capital expenditure
