This is a hands-on leadership role owning the Fixed Assets accounting function end-to-end. You'll lead a high-performing offshore team, partner directly with Business Unit Finance and Project leaders across the group, and have real influence over how a major Australian business manages its asset base. ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a hands-on leadership role owning the Fixed Assets accounting function end-to-end. You'll lead a high-performing offshore team, partner directly with Business Unit Finance and Project leaders across the group, and have real influence over how a major Australian business manages its asset base. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead capitalisation, depreciation, disposals, lease accounting (IFRS 16) and reconciliations
- Own the fixed assets month-end/year-end close
- Maintain balance sheet integrity through reconciliation reviews and control testing
- Coordinate with external audit
- Lead and develop an offshore team
- Own fixed asset accounting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with impairment and IFRS requirements group-wide
- Drive standardisation, automation and system improvements
- Be the go-to for fixed asset matters across BU Finance and Project teams
- CA or equivalent, with 5+ years in financial control
- Deep technical knowledge across fixed assets & lease accounting
- Experience leading or partnering with offshore teams
- Exposure to major ERP and reporting platforms
- A hands-on, detail-focused operator who drives change
