Overview

Our client, a large and well-established ASX-listed organisation, is seeking an experienced Systems Specialist to join their high-performing corporate team in Sydney. This role is central to ensuring the stability, optimisation, and continuous improvement of key enterprise systems—specifically SAP and JD Edwards (JDE) . Working closely with finance, operations, and IT stakeholders, the Systems Specialist will play a critical role in enhancing system efficiency, supporting business transformation initiatives, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organisation.

2. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide functional expertise across SAP and JDE , supporting system configuration, issue resolution, enhancements, and best-practice utilisation.
  • Act as a key liaison between business users, technical teams, and external vendors to deliver high-quality system outcomes.
  • Lead troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives to optimise system performance and user experience.
  • Support system upgrades, integrations, testing cycles, and implementation of new modules or functionality.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, including process maps, governance standards, and user guides.
  • Deliver training and support to end-users, lifting capability and ensuring consistent adoption of system processes.
  • Partner with finance and operational teams to identify opportunities to streamline reporting, automate workflows, and improve data accuracy.
3. Ideal Candidate
  • Strong hands-on experience with SAP and JDE in complex corporate environments (ASX-listed or large enterprise desirable).
  • Solid understanding of end-to-end business processes across finance, operations, supply chain, or asset management.
  • Proven track record supporting system enhancements, integrations, and upgrades.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into system solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience contributing to business transformation, automation, or process improvement initiatives is highly regarded.
