    A well-established, nationally scaled FMCG manufacturer is looking for an experienced  Commercial Finance Manager  to join their Melbourne team on an initial 3-month contract, with a genuine pathway to permanency for the right person.

    Reporting to senior leadership, this is a broad and high-impact role — you'll be the primary finance business partner across commercial, operations, and supply chain, working closely with some of Australia's largest retail and foodservice accounts.

    What you'll be doing
    • Act as a trusted finance business partner to the GM and functional leads across commercial, operations and supply chain
    • Own  business performance reporting  — P&L, margin analysis, COGs, forecasting, budgeting and planning
    • Lead  decision support and financial modelling  — pricing, new business tenders, supply chain projects, innovation initiatives
    • Oversee  cost accounting  — standard costing, manufacturing variances, work order management
    • Manage key account finance relationships including open book pricing, FX hedging and protocol pricing
    • Lead and develop a small team of finance analysts
    • Support ongoing BI and analytical tool improvements (Power BI)
    Who we're looking for
    • FMCG or manufacturing finance background — cost accounting experience highly regarded
    • Strong business partnering skills — able to influence and communicate across all levels
    • Solid analytical and modelling capability — advanced Excel, Power BI or similar BI tools
    • Experience managing a small team
    • Self-starter who can operate autonomously in a fast-paced environment
    • Commercially curious with sharp attention to detail
