Overview
Our client, a well-established ASX-listed organisation in the Infrastructure sector, is seeking a high-calibre Commercial Finance Manager
to join their Brisbane-based team. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving financial performance across key long-term contracts and supporting major operations throughout regional Queensland. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leaders, shape the strategic direction of the finance function, and provide commercial insights that influence business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the budgeting, planning, and forecasting processes, ensuring business ownership and accountability of financial outcomes.
- Deliver high-quality commercial insights and analysis to support decision-making across operations and executive leadership.
- Partner closely with finance and operational teams to determine priorities, manage contract performance, and continuously improve finance processes and systems.
- Provide strategic input into the development of the finance function, supporting long-term growth and operational excellence.
- Oversee financial governance across key contracts, ensuring compliance, risk management, and commercial optimisation.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering capability development and collaborative ways of working.
- Support site-based operations through regular FIFO travel to regional QLD.
- Strong background in commercial finance, ideally within industrial services, infrastructure, engineering, or asset management environments.
- Experience managing long-term contracts, including performance tracking, risk management, and commercial analysis.
- Proven capability across financial modelling, analysis, budgeting, planning, and forecasting.
- A strategic thinker with the ability to translate financials into actionable insights for non-financial leaders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated team leadership experience with the ability to inspire, coach, and build capability within a finance function.
- Comfortable with regular FIFO travel and supporting remote operational sites.
