The function is currently bringing transactional work across from another state into Sydney, and this role is part of building that team.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and post day to day journals across receivables and payables, including dishonoured direct debits and bank adjustments
- Prepare balance sheet and fixed asset reconciliations for review
- Complete daily and monthly bank and general ledger reconciliations
- Work with the accounts receivable team on the bad debt provision
- Support month end close, including journals and variance analysis
- Assist with audit preparation and keep supporting documentation accurate
- Visit sites occasionally to work with operational teams
- Experience in an accounting support, accounts receivable or accounts payable role, with a clear interest in moving into accounting
- Currently studying, or planning to start, CPA or CA
- An accounting degree or similar qualification is desirable
- Experience preparing journals and reconciliations
- Strong Excel skills and experience with an ERP system; Epicor is an advantage
- Experience in an environment where you deal directly with individuals or families, rather than businesses, is an advantage
- Happy to travel to sites from time to time; a driver's licence is an advantage
- Hybrid work arrangement and an office close to the Metro
