Job brief
This is a part time Assistant Accountant role supporting a small finance team with a hands on mix of accounts receivable, accounts payable and finance admin. 
 
About our client

An established multi site business in the building products and services space, supporting trade and commercial customers. The role sits in a practical finance team handling consistent transaction volume, reconciliations and customer requests.
 
Responsibilities
  • Manual admin and customer requests, including sending statements and responding to queries
  • Accounts receivable, collections and debtor follow up by phone and email
  • Accounts payable processing and supplier follow up
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and data checks
  • Data cleansing and clean up tasks if a new ERP is implemented
Requirements
  • Prior accounting or finance admin experience, degree not required
  • Methodical, detail oriented and comfortable with repetitive work
  • Confident communication skills, especially calling customers about outstanding debts
  • Solid Excel skills
  • Quick learner with basic IT confidence and willingness to pick up new systems
