Melbourne Osaka Cup Winners – Greg O’Shea and Rupert Henry

Congratulations to our Director, Greg O’Shea and Rupert Henry for taking out Line Honours (shortest elapsed time) in the Sundance Marine Melbourne Osaka Cup and smashing the race record by just over 5 days on board Chinese Whisper.
Rupert and Greg entered the JV62 late last year after deciding not to compete in the Sydney to Hobart Race. They set about preparing a boat usually raced by a full crew of 18, to one that could be sailed double-handed for a 5,500 Nm three-week journey to Osaka.
They were the last boat to start only 3 weeks ago. Rupert and Greg brought the big boat past the entire fleet to arrive in Osaka on the 21st April – 21 days after starting.
Having sailed extremely hard conditions to arrive at the entrance to Osaka Bay, they then had to be patient as the wind dropped back to almost nothing to cross the finish line. Judging from the result a few days ago, it seemed all their hard work has paid off.
Watch Rupert and Greg the day after the race being interviewed about their experience.

Our mission is to prepare people to have better career conversations, to make great career decisions, to enable individuals and organisations to get the best return out of their relationship.
