To maximise your overseas working experience we recommend you:

  • Research your preferred destination, develop your market insight and clarify your personal objectives
  • In most cases we will only be able to assist you if you are in possession of a valid working visa or work permit. Our partners at Voyage Relocations (link to assessment) can provide you with a free assessment.
  • Time your approach: call 4 - 6 weeks prior to arrival for contract positions. If you are eligible for permanent work, the more lead time you can provide the better the outcome that can be managed.
  • Review and if required improve your CV so that it is relevant and informative. A couple of useful tips: -
    • Add information about the companies that you have worked for. Remember that an employer in a different country may not know your previous employers.
    • Add in your Visa status / information about your right to work.
    • Add in detail explaining national education or professional qualifications - remember that all education systems differ. Where possible, explain what your qualification means.
    • Highlight transferable skills (e.g. knowledge of international systems or standards).
